Red List Spellings – Deck 1 & 2

Description

Our Red List Spellings – Deck 1 & 2 containts all 100 words on the statutory National Curriculum for the Year 6 SATs.

These decks are suitable for:

• Any child in Year 5/6 of the UK education system (or equivalent).
• Key Stage 3 children (Year 7 – 9) who want to boost their spelling accuracy.
• Students learning English as an Additional Language.

Contains:

• Deck 1 & Deck 2
• 100 ‘Word’ cards in total
• 24 ‘Special’ cards in total
• Instructions card
• Symbol key card

Each deck can be used to play two different games:

• Game 1 – Swips Read
  Race to be the first to get rid of all your cards. Match the patterns and syllables of your opponent’s cards…but watch out; someone else could change the pattern or make you miss a go at any time! Don’t forget to yell SWIPS when you’re on your last card!
• Game 2 – Swips Spell
  Be the first to win your opponent’s cards before they win all yours. Pick a card and use the clues to spell the word; get it right and you win the card… but get it wrong and it stays in their hand. Watch out for the ‘bomb’ though, that’ll slow you down!
